The way in which free will fits into the rationalist perspective is that it helps a rational person make his own choices.

What is the Rationalist Perspective?

This refers to the area of philosophy that makes use of reason as the main source of knowledge.

Hence, we can see that based on Rene Descartes and other rational philosophers, the use of free will cannot be bargained as it is necessary and helps one to make free choices based on his touches with reason.
