Introduction
"I was shopping with my 2 best friends, Kayli and Jordan. We were at the new mall, it was a big thing back then. "So where should we shop first?" said Kayli. "Pretzel place." I responded. We headed to the pretzel place, and were hit by the smell of fresh pretzels. We bought normal pretzels with cheese.
"I'm sure these will be great!" said Jordan. "Yep." I said. We headed to the shopping department next. I decided to get a new jacket. "Kayli, is this jacket cool?" I ask. "Kayli?" I repeat. "She's gone, probably walked off or is handling business." said Jordan. I know Kayli, she would not just walk off like that without saying something. Is she gone? Who knows? I don't. Me and Jordan continue to search for Kayli, and we have no luck, so we get help. Will we find Kayli?"
Chapter 1
"After that quote, mall tragedy, unquote, me and Jordan have been on a near manhunt to find Kayli. We called her, she doesn't answer, we tried visiting her, she is not home, she has not showed up to school! Kayli never misses days! Jordan is beginning to assume the worst. She stated, "I will not back down until we find out what happened.". "Jordan, harping on this is not healthy for you. I think we know what happened, we just have to face it." I said.
"How do we "face" the fact that our best friend is gone? Do you know how hard this is to think about-" "We've been searching for 5 days! We haven't found anything!" I interrupt. There is no hope left, the best thing I could do is file a missing case, or leave it at this. But wouldn't that look a lot worse if I did not?

"Emma." Jordan says firmly. "What?" I respond. "You. Must. See. This." she says. This could only mean one bad thing. I follow Jordan to the living room with the TV on the news channel. Breaking news, Highschool student Kayli Reyes is found okay after she went missing at a local mall with her friends. The suspect has not yet been found. "Oh thank goodness!" I say.
Everything will be fine."
Chapter 2
"I tell myself night and day that everything is just fine. Is it really, though? That's one thing I always question. I am simply alone at home reading. It is a peaceful day, sun shining, light blue sky, bright sun, early in the morning. Nothing but birds chirping. Once my brain gets reading block, I stop reading and then take a nap.
I wake up, and it's afternoon. I suddenly hear a loud bang on my door. What is this, questioning? I go to answer the door. "Hello." says and investigation-like person. I knew this would happen. I hope Jordan was not questioned first. "Hello," I start, "is it questioning day?" I finish. "Yes, we are here to ask you some questions since your friend disappeared and you were one of the last people to see her.""
Chapter 3
"I am being questioned. "You're not being accused, but we just need to ask these questions.". "Okay." I respond. "Do you recall seeing Kayli walk off?" asked the investigator. "No, I did not actually see her walk off, I know know she went missing during our shopping trip." I respond. "Thank you, we find you very helpful!" says the investigator. "You're free to go.". That was it? That was all I had to answer? These investigators sure are something.
"Everything will be fine." I remind myself. Every. Single. Thing."
