SCR Prompt:
Does Madame Loisel change for the better or worse by the end of "The Necklace"?

Noell's response:

Does Madam Loisel change for the better or for the worse by the end of "The Necklace"? Well, this is a hard question to answer because I can see both sides, but I'd say she changed for the better. Only because she was really selfish and materialistic at the beginning of the story, but by the end she was more humble and knew the value of hard work. She changed for the worse, too, because she was overworked and had lost her youth, but overall I think she changed for the better.

Your classmate, Noell, asked you to give her feedback on her short constructed response before she turns it in. What feedback would you give her? Respond to her directly, telling her 2-3 things she does well and 2-3 questions you would ask or ideas to help her improve her writing.

Answer:

Well tell both the pros and cons of each side like you metioned madam loisel was selfish and materialistic. Then you said that she was hard working and humble. You could bring up that she learned her lesson as a moral of the story as her being too vain and proud to say she lost the necklace and therefore worked for roughly fourteen years. Its your call on what to do
