Marjane gives divorce to her husband and gets back to the country of Europe at the end of the story of Persepolis. The crossing of religion and modernity, and the lack of wealth and status in society was the biggest problem addressed in the story.

At the end of the story of Persepolis, Marjane, the author of the story, left her husband and settled down in Europe so that she could gain all the freedoms. The story shows the unstable state of Iran after the emergence of Islamic revolts against overthrowing of the Western-allied king.
Therefore, the end of Persepolis was not a good one and also described the conditions of the people of Iran.
