Meanwhile, the dew point temperature is 9°C and the environmental lapse rate is 15°C/1000m. Can the air parcel rise to 2000 meters and form clouds when rising? Why or why not? If the air goes up 2000 ft it will cool by  (given lapse rate 15/1000)

 15 C * 2 = 30 C  

then it will be  25 - 30 = -5C    

so yes it will form clouds as this is below the dew point of 9 C

25 - 15/1000 x  = 9      shows at x = 1067 m to reach dew point and cloud
