Answer:
I can infer that finding gold or a good amount of gold wasn’t as easy as it was thought. Many of those who lived in California during the gold rush would've been left empty-handed and filled with loneliness. It was common to come across illness, physical danger, and even death due to the risks of mining. It was a vision that everyone would all become rich and drown in tons of gold. However, the mining wasn't worth the travel and risk because it was not certain at all. The majority of miners would either get no gold or just flakes of it, and those finances would go to food and resources like shovels and axes to keep working. Barely anyone became rich because of the gold rush, it was a scam.
