A squirrel happens on a hidden lair of nuts. It decides to make the most of it by doubling the amount of nuts during the day and eat two nuts in the evening. By nightfall of the 3rd day there were 34 nuts in the lair. How many nuts were in the original found treasure?
The answer is 6, because if the squirrel started with 6 and then doubled it (12) and it ate two we would get ten. Then if it doubled that (20) and ate two it's 18. Then if it doubled that (36) and ate two it's 34, and that is three days.
