The function is linear.
Looking at the x-column, the values increase by increments of one.
For each interval, the y-values MUST increase by an equal amount between EACH x-value for the function to be linear.
We can look at each interval:
x: -3 to -2
y: increases by 3; -4 - (-7) = 3
x: -2 to -1
y: increases by 3; -1 - (-4) = 3
x: -1 to 0
y: increases by 3; 2 - (-1) = 3
x: 0 to 1
y: increases by 3; 5 - 2 = 3
Since the y-values increase by 3 between each 1 unit increase in the x-axis, the function is LINEAR.
