   The early fifteenth century was significant in China due to the many naval explorations it undertook.

One of such explorations was done by Zheng He and it began in 11 July 1405.

Zheng He's Voyage.

Zheng He was placed as the admiral in control of the huge fleet and armed forces that undertook the expedition to discover other parts of the world due to  the expanding Sino-Arab trade during the 14th century .

In he's first voyage, Zheng He  departed on 11 July 1405, from Suzhou and he had a fleet of ships holding almost 28,000 sailors.

Zheng He's fleets visited places such as  Brunei, Java in Jarkater, Siam (Thailand), some parts of Southeast Asia, India, the east coast of Africa, and Arabia.

On his voyage, he traded different kinds of  goods. Upon his return to the Ming dynasty,  Zheng He presented gifts of gold, silver, porcelain, and silk etc.
