A student designs an experiment to see if detergent affect the growth of seeds he sets up 10 seed pots five of the seed pots will receive a small amount of detergent in the soil and will be placed in the shade the other 5 seed pots will not receive detergent and will be placed in the Sun 10 seed pods will receive the same amount of water the same numbers of seeds in the same type of seeds he allows the seeds to grow for 2 months in to charts their growth every 2 days what is wrong with his experiment

Whats wrong with this experiment is that this student put two different independent variables in the experiment. The first one being that he put five seed pots with detergent and the other 5 not, the second one is that he put five of the pots in the shade and the other five in the sun. This students results will not be very accurate.
