Answer:

plants, algae and certain bacteria .

Explanation:

Answer:

This would be something considered; BIOTIC.

Explanation:

> The definition of Biotic (Not from a dictionary), is something living that requires nutrient, and uses energy.

> This matches the description given by you, so it would henceforth be the answer.

> A few examples of a Biotic Creature would be;

Plants

Animals

Bacteria

> If you are not sure whether something is abiotic, or it’s opposite Abiotic (A non-living creature), then you can check whether it breathes, grows, or moves by using a scientific investigation.

> There are different types of Scientific Investigations, them being:

Descriptive — Observation only (Does not include experimentation)

Comparative — Compares to ideas/things (May include expirementation)

Experimental — Includes experiments only

> How you could use a Descriptive Investigation:

Take notes on a certain object multiple times a day or week, and see what has changed. If it has moved exponentially, grown, or consumed any Primary/Secondary Consumers, or consumed any producers, then it is most likely a biotic being. If it has remained stationary, or has changed location to to weather or erosion, not consumed any biotic creatures, or grown from it’s original size, then it is most likely abiotic, or a non-living creature

> How you could use a Comparative Investigation:

You could take something you KNOW to be biotic/abiotic, and compare it to the thing you’re trying to identify as either biotic or abiotic, and determine due to it’s likeness or differences to whatever you’re comparing it to, whether it’s biotic or abiotic. For instance, you could take yourself, and compare it to it. By seeing what you do and don’t do as a biotic creature, you can determine whether it does any of those things or does not, whether it is, as you are, biotic, or if it is unalike to you, and therefore abiotic.

> How you could use a Experimental Investigation:

By going over certain experiments, we could find that a test of some sorts could work. For instance, containing the thing in question, and paying close attention to what it does, and how it reacts to certain things, such as a light poke or prod. Most biotic creatures would react to this with a withdrawal from the poking object, while abiotic objects are unable to do this. However, plants and bacteria are unable to move upon this happening, so something like a lack of recourses (water, food, etc), could result in the potential biotic creature in dying, and therefore others alike this (Those of the same species), are biotic. Any other experiment containing the thing in question, and it testing whether it is alike that of biotic nature, would be considered an Experimental Investigation capable of determining whether the object in question is biotic or abiotic, and matches your original question.

> As for why I have explained this, it is due to the fact that it would be simply I possible to fit all biotic creatures into one explanation, so explaining how you could find out is a good substitution. This could match up with the expression; “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life.”

> I do hope this helps, and aids you in determining whether sometime is biotic or abiotic (Matching your question’s description or not matching it) in the future. #LearningWithBrainly
