By definition of secant,

cos(θ) = 1/2

Solve for θ :

θ = arccos(1/2) + 2nπ   or   θ = -arccos(1/2) + 2nπ

(where n is any integer)

θ = π/3 + 2nπ   or   θ = -π/3 + 2nπ

We get two solutions in the interval 0 ≤ θ < 2π :

θ = π/3   or   θ = 5π/3
