Its simple!
First, you turn -3.9 into a fraction
-3.9=
[tex] - 3 \frac{9}{10} [/tex]
Now u solve
[tex] - 3 \frac{9}{10} \times 5 \frac{5}{9} = [/tex]
(1) Convert mixed numbers into fractions (im sure you know how to do this)
[tex] - \frac{39 }{10} \times \frac{50 }{9} = [/tex]
(2) Multiply across on both the denominator and numerator (bottom and top rows)
[tex] - \frac{39}{10} \times \frac{50}{9} = - \frac{1950}{90} [/tex]
(Remember, negative ×/÷ positive is always negative)
(3) Make ur answer into an even fraction
[tex] - \frac{1950}{90} = - \frac{65}{3} \\ = - 21 \frac{2}{3} [/tex]
I hope this helped! Srry I'm not that good in english
