Evidence Log - Unit #2: Survival
Essential Question: What does it take to survive?
Using credible evidence from three chosen texts, write a five paragraph essay containing three well-developed, two-chunk paragraphs (1+ CD: 2+ CM) in which you argue whether the people in their respective life-or-death situations should be held accountable for their actions.
Argumentative Essay Prompt:
Should people in life-or-death situations be held accountable for their actions?
My initial thoughts:
Quickwrite (NB p. 35)
My thesis (first draft):
Answer the prompt question in one clear, strong sentence.
In some cases the weight of a situation takes a toil on one and that can affect their mental health, and that will affect their actions. In some cases people do unnecessary things in such situations, but in others, there are reasons behind their actions. But in the end murder is murder and your beliefs are your beliefs.
