Adequate temperature and volume regulation should be given to preterm
newborn who receive oxygen with hood.
Preterm newborn are usually placed in a safe environment known as
incubator for vital organs to develop. The newborn who can breathe on their
own are usually given the extra required amount needed for the child's
optimal growth.
However, too much or cold temperature of the oxygen may be fatal and
destroy cells of the body which may death. This is why it should be included
in the plan of care.
