I am going to assume that 4.28*10^2 is 4.28 times ten to the second power. In that case, 10 times 10 equals 100. So 4.28 times 100. 4.28 times 100 equals 428. So the area of Alaska is 428 times greater than Rhode Island. Rhode's island is 1550. 1550 times 428 is 663,400.
