After finding the mistake in each sentence and correcting it, we have the following:

1. David is a bit sad sometimes. / Sometimes, David is a bit sad.

2. My sister is always punctual.

3. Our teacher often gives us a lot of homework.

4. We usually write composition for the English class.

5. She is never late to work.

6. I rarely go to the movies.

7. We always revise for our test.

8. He never goes to school by car.

This question refers to the use of adverbs of frequency. With a couple of rules, we are able to answer most questions.

Examples of adverbs of frequency are: never, always, usually, rarely, seldom, almost never, and sometimes.

First, if the verb to be is present in the sentence, then the adverb will come after it. That is what happens in sentences 2 and 5.

Next, if the verb to be is not present in the sentence, then the adverb comes before the main verb. That is what happens in sentences 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8.

Sentence 1 is the only exception because of the adverb "sometimes". "Sometimes" is usually placed at the beginning or the very end of the sentence.
