The Woods at Night:
Mother always told me to stay in bed.
Mother always told me to stay asleep.
Mother always told me to lock the window.
Mother always warned me away from the wood.
So here I am in the woods.
So here I am disobeying.
So here I am, all awake.
So here I am unsure of what on Earth called me here.
Then I see his face,
The moonlight illuminates his face,
He makes me stand still and freeze.
And I think my heart has stopped.
Then I hear, a rustle, a crack of a stick.
And he's behind me, putting a hand on my back.
Then it becomes too hard to breathe.
As I feel energy being sucked out of me.
I sigh and fall limp, for the stranger has almost drained me of everything.

Mother never told me about the energy drainers.
And now I'm all limp because of that fault.
