The Fraction of the students who got a certain type of food multiplied by the total number of students :

Number of students who got sandwiches :

1/8 × 48 = 6 students

Number of students who got spaghetti :

1/4 × 48 = 12 students

Number of students who got potato :

1/6 × 48 = 8 students

Number of students who got Pancake :

(1 - (1/8 + 1/4 + 1/6)) × 48

0.4583333 × 48 = 22 students
