Patrick stated
that the sum of a positive integer and a
negative integer is always negative. Find
a counterexample that illustrates why
this statement is not true.
The sum of a positive integer and a negative integer always being negative is FALSE. Say were adding these two integers together, one of which is postive and the other negative: -5 + 12
-5 + 12 is equal to 7, which is NOT a negative integer.
