PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Jeremy places a box on the floor and then begins to push it. The horizontal forces acting on the
box are represented by the vectors shown in the diagram. (Remember, vectors point in the
direction of the force and represent the magnitude of the force.) Describe what happens to the box from the instant Jeremy begins his push, explaining your answer. Be sure to use completesentences to discuss the direction the box will move in and the amount of net force on the box.

Respuesta :

As Jeremy begins to push the box, if the force applied by Jeremy is greater that than the static frictional force, the box will move in the direction of the force applied by Jeremy.

According to Newton's second law of motion, the force applied to an object is directly proportional to the product of mass and acceleration of the object.

In other words, when the force applied to an object overcomes the frictional force between the object and the horizontal surface, the object will accelerate in the direction of the applied force.

Consequently, as Jeremy begins to push the box, if the force applied by Jeremy is greater that than the static frictional force, the box will move in the direction of the force applied by Jeremy.
