The reactivity of metals increases from right to left because metals are electropositive in nature.
Metals react by electron loss. The more reactive metals are able to loose electron easily. However, the ability of metals to loose electrons decreases from left to right. This means that as you move towards the right, metals steadily loose the ability to loose electrons easily.
As a result of this, the reactivity of metals increases from right to left as we move towards those metals that loose electrons easily.
