In times of war, propaganda is used to sway the opinions of the population. It’s used to get people to join the military, to villanize nationals, and to spread unfair biases. Governments make it a priority to control citizens beliefs during times of conflict, because unity is needed within a country in order to fight another country. They want to make sure they have enough support, and they want to prevent any sort of uprising against authority. The government doesnt want to have to focus on domestic affairs when we are having foreign conflict.
