  • Melanin: This protects the body against harmful ultra violent rays.
  • Acid mantle: This secretion prevents the entry of harmful micro organisms into the skin.

The biological barrier (B): These are cells that helps to protect the skin. Example are:

  • Macrophages

The Mechanical (physical) barrier: This is also called physical barrier because it physically blocks the entering of microbes through its features. Examples include:
