I truly feel that a good story is all about having a great theme and interesting plot as well as great characters. If you are telling a story to peers about your most embarrassing moment you must make them feel as if they were there. They have to feel your embarrassment as well as the emotions of everyone that witnessed it firsthand. If your story is a fairytale you have to make me love the heroes and hate the villains. It is about getting me inside the story. I need to feel like I am there.Otherwise I will miss the whole point and your tale is pointless then. You must have a good structure for your story. Style has a lot to do with it as well. I do not want to read a comedic story that reads like a thesis paper. You have to pull your audience in. I love to read stories where I can actually feel the writer’s emotions. Therefore,most of my writing will be packed with emotion. And anyone reading it will feel it.
