Geologic maps are the principal source of knowledge for several characters of land-use outlining, comprising the siting of constructions and transport systems.
A geological map is a special-purpose map composed to reveal geological characteristics. Rock members or geologic layers are displayed by color or figures to symbolize where they are detected at the surface.
