HDL (High-density lipoprotein) is considered good cholesterol. Bad cholesterol would be LDL (or Low-Density lipoprotein).
The answer is HDL. The abbreviation stands for High-Density Lipoproteins. HDL protects against arteriosclerosis, by ‘scrubbing’ the arterial walls through scavenging for Low-density lipoproteins that cause plaque in the blood vessels. HDL is assiste in the transportation of the LDL to the liver for reprocessing.
