Explain how meiosis ultimately the reason why humans have the characteristics that they do? In your explanation be sure to include how mitosis, doesn't provide the human characteristics.

meiosis causes the cell to divide two times and gives only half of the chromosomes to each cell the second time it divides causing the cell to hive diversity. Mitosis on the other hand only divides one time and makes a copy of the DNA for both cells that way the cells are always the same no matter how many times it divides.
