3 ln(x + 5) - 5 ln x

the first step in condensing this equation is to eliminate the coefficients for your logarithms by taking them from out front and making them the exponent of the equation instead.

ln(x + 5)³ - ln x⁵

now you can use the subtraction/division rule to condense these into one logarithm:

ln ((x + 5)³/x⁵)

(if the formatting is weird, that's the natural log of (x + 5) cubed over x to the fifth power)

as for solving it, that can only be done if you have a variable to plug in. you'd plug whatever it is in for x, then evaluate the expression.
