The highest political office held by the third husband of the woman (Jane Wyman) who was later married to the first husband of Patti Sacks was being a president. She was married to the 40th president of the United States, Ronald Reagan. She was the first wife of Ronald Reagan and they married on 1940 and later divorced on 1949. Their love started when Wyman co-starred Ronald Reagan in the movie Brother Rat (1938) and its sequel entitled Brother Rat and a Baby (1940). The couple had three children composed of two daughters and an adopted son. The third child was born premature which later tarnished their marriage.
President of the United States -- that was the highest office held by Ronald Reagan, who was the third husband of actress Jane Wyman.  After Reagan and Wyman divorced in 1949, she married Hollywood music director and composer Fred Karger (in 1952), who previously had been married to actress Patti Sacks.

When Ronald Reagan became President of the United States in 1981, he was the first person to hold that office who had been divorced.  By then, though, Reagan had been happily married for almost thirty years to his second wife, Nancy Davis -- whom we know primarily by her married name, Nancy Reagan.  The two of them had met when Nancy was a young actress mistakenly placed on the blacklist of suspected communists in Hollywood, and Ronald Reagan helped her with that problem as president of the Screen Actors Guild.
