I am 13 and my mom says Im not allowed to wear tampons. I don't know why she said something like that. Does this perhaps regard to the culture you're from?

Tampons are usually used for older people. Usually around 16+, mainly because they hve toxins that can make you really sick if you leave them in longer than you should, and they're just not too good for you overall. She isn't letting you because it's just safer for you to use pads instead.
