There will be 5 terms, there will be an alternative sign of the series and their last term will be 1/16.
What is a series?
A sequence's series is the total number of terms in the sequence.
A series follows some pattern for example if you take data set of natural numbers then there will be a sequence of that data and something will be due to that we can form that series.
Given that the series
∑(-1/2)^K and this summation goes from k =0 to k = 4
Now the question is asking how many terms are in there, the sign of each term in the series, and the last term in this series.
Now if you take k =0 and find the first term then it will be
(-1/2)⁰ = 1 so the first term will be 1.
Similarly, you can put k =1,2,3,4 so there will be a total of 5 terms.
The sign of each term will be alternative since because of negative somethings power will be positive if power is odd and negative if power is even.
In the last term put k = 4, and you will get (-1/2)⁴ = 1/16.
