I would chose D for this because going downhill can be EXTREMELY strenuous on the muscles and can really damage them

These are group of four muscles that cover the front and sides of your thighs and acts as hip flexor and a knee extensor.

When moving downhill this muscle is required which is why it will most likely get sore due to repeated actions.
