Jacob must find out what happened to his grandpa. When Jacob realized that his grandfather was murdered by the monsters that he has been telling Jacob about for years, Jacob knows that he must find out who killed his grandpa. He also knows that he must find out what his grandpa had been hiding. Jacob is faced with coming up with a plan to find the murderer, and the secrets of his grandfather's past. This conflict is man v. self, because Jacob must push himself to find the answers.
