You have potentional energy when you are sitting down and are going to stand up. You have kinetic energy when you have stood up and are walking.

Another example : when you are at a red light while driving, you have potentional energy, and then when you go when the light is green, that is kinetic because you are in motion.

is the energy of motion.

roll or coast or fall, the object has potential energy.  It only has to be
nudged over the edge for the potential energy to start changing into
kinetic energy ... the energy of motion.
