Ok first we have to find the common denominator. We can find it by finding the Least common factor. The least common factor of 6 and 4 is 12.

Now we take the denominator 4, and divided by 12, we get 3 then we multiply 3 by the numerator, which is 3 which gives us 9. So now we have a brand new fraction, 9/12. Now we do the same thing to the other fraction.
This gives us 9/12 + 10/12. Now we can add.  9+10 = 19, so now the fraction is 19/12. Since 19/12 is an incomplete fraction we have to change it to a mixed number. 19÷12= 1 7/12. Now we add the whole numbers . 1 + 4 + 2 = 7

So the answer is  7 7/12

I hope this helps!
