Geo-thermal energy generation requires more than one type of energy transformations, the Heat energy of underground hot spots is used to heat up water which rises under pressure which is Kinetic energy which is converted to Mechanical energy as it moves the turbines while the water looses the heat to a cold sink and returns to the hot spot and the mechanical energy is converted to electrical energy.
