Why did President Andrew Jackson and Southern farmers support the Indian Removal Act?

The farmers wanted the land that the Cherokee had because it was good for farming. With this new land and the ability to grow new crops. Meant that the economy would go up.

I think the answer is D! :) The farmers needed the land for their crops, so this one makes the most sense at this time. If not, my second guess is C.
