the oxygen-poor blood needs to be brought to the lungs to be oxygenated so that it can be sent to the heart so that way it can be distributed through out the rest of the body
It is correct that the pulmonary arteries carry oxygen poor-blood away from the heart to the lungs.
The blood from the body and head come through vena cava of right side of the heart, and go to the right verticle, the right verticle push the blood to the lungs through the pumonary artery, the blood go to lungs to clean it.
