Answer:      Poseidon

Poseidon was the son of Kronos and Rhea, one of the older brothers of Zeus.

Poseidon or Neptune was god of the sea, more particularly of the Mediterranean sea.

it was believed that he was the god of the Mediterranean sea, but many would say and

acknowledged that he was ruler of all seas.

He possessed the power to create destructive storms and winds that turned into hurricanes.

On the other hand Poseidon also had the power to calm angry waves and soothe troubled waters.

Voyagers would sacrifice or bring offerings to him for safe journeys over the sea.

Poseidon's symbol of his power is the trident or also known as a fisherman's fork. Poseidon was worshiped and known in countries bordering on the sea coast. Many people who lived these sea bordering countries like Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Rome, Turkey relied on naturally capturing seafood as a commodity for trade.

Many believed Poseidon would send destructive and disastrous floods

which completely destroyed whole countries. Some of theses floods would usually have sea monsters, who swallowed up and devoured anything in sight.

Poseidon is described to look similar to his brother Zeus.

Poseidon had a bad temper and was probably the most

moody and greediest gods of of all gods. He is tall like Zeus with bright piercing eyes, his facial features are described as somewhat sharper than his

brother Zeus.

He has long dark wavy hair that reaches just over his shoulders, he is built very muscular he has a short curling beard, and wears a band around his head for a crown.

He usually appears in a shell chariot drawn by his mighty seahorses with golden manes and bold hoofs.

All sea creatures and deep sea monsters acknowledge Poseidon as their mighty lord and ruler. They love him and playfully frolic around him.

He lives in a beautiful palace at the bottom of the sea and also possessed a royal residence with the other gods on the Mount Olympus, in which, he visits only when his presence is required at the council of the gods.

His palace is of bright gold which water preserved untarnished. fountains with silvery water and beautiful sea plants appear everywhere, rocks of shiny glistening crystals of all colors of rainbow adorn the palace.

Sparkling sand, rich pearls and jewels line all the walls of the palace.

Poseidon married Amphitrite who is a sea nymph he won her love by taking a form of a dolphin.

Amphitrite was often seen with Poseidon in his chariot draw by his mighty seahorses.

Poseidon is not to be messed with.
