In chapter 21 of The First Men in the Moon, Mr. Bedford finally lands on planet Earth. Think about a time you returned home from a long trip or a difficult outing. What emotions did you feel upon seeing the familiar surroundings of home? Write a journal entry describing your experience, and comparing your feelings to those of Mr. Bedford’s.

The emotions I felt was overwhelming. I feel free, happy upon seeing myself in a familiar surroundings of home.

What is the feeling of getting home like after months apart from your family?

When ever I returned home from school after months apart from my family or even from trips,  I always feel happy and i spent most of the day talking about what happen when I was gone and i do take a long nap.

This can be liken to the feelings of  Mr. Bedford’s. because he was happy as people can now call his name, he can now have a comfortable sleep  and he was amazed that the adventure is done with.
