the silent phone began vibrating in the coffee table. i looked over my shoulder to see if sophie was still in the bathroom. she was. I reached over and took a peek. Someone named jackson was calling. Hmmm, for all i knew she didn’t have that many guy friends. I sat back down and took a sip of my coffee leaning on the table. Sophie walked into the room. “Sooo...” i said a smirk playing on my face. “Who’s this Jackson??” i say raising my eyebrows and smiling. Sophie blushed. “no one...” she says. “hm then someone named jackson called you.... oh soph, you’re a terrible liar, you know that” I loved messing with her. “so tell me,” i say. “ she rolls her eyes, her face still a bright red. “dianaaa... i’ve been your best friend for so long, and this is what i get? you peeking at my phone” i can’t hide my smile. “what? if you weren’t going to tell me i had to find out by myself” she rolls her eyes and i can tell she’s trying hard not to smile. “well...” she says. “ i met him at work and he’s pretty nice...” and she continues in with her story as i lean and listen.
