This document is an example of long-term significance because it would not be mentioned today if it did not contain it. Asides from this, it is one of the most frequently used documents when addressing current issues of the modern era. Although it was written centuries ago, certain problems in this document can still be seen today. We will now go into further detail about which current issues it can connect to as well as what effect this document had long-term.This piece, with its unique structure, tone, and theme, is what has captivated minds up until today. The fact that it advocates causes that were unheard of is the most contributing factor in what makes this piece as significant as it is. Had it contained the same message as all other literary works of that time, or used a nonchalant formal structure, this piece would not be worthy of being the main topic of my essay today. It is the fact that the tone of the Declaration of Independence is more informal than other pieces that makes it significant long-term. It contains alot of pathos, but not much logos and ethos. The speaker in this piece is trying to inspire a nation. for over the course of a century. Nowadays, although still present, such undeniable rights are not violated as often. This means that: we appreciate equality more, most of us no longer possess a "racial supremacy" mindset, and men and women's strengths are noticed and appreciated. As previously mentioned, we have come a long way. However, there are still instances, such as: hepresidential elections, voting rights, and a nation's right for independence - that can be seen in today's world. Therefore, documents like this help us provide for a better way forward." This helps voters speak up for themselves while also bearing in mind whether their point is valid. It helps people realize the benefits and consequences of their actions and whether "such" decisions are good in the long run. Should President Trump return? Why? Did the Declaration of Independence address a similar issue? Is Brexit smart? Should Scotland be independent? All of dependence address a similar issue? Is Brexit smart? Should Scotland be independent? All of these factors contribute to our future moving forward. And, it is documents like this one that help us from repeating the same mistakes. In conclusion, The Declaration of Independence is considered a significant piece long-term. If we go back to the very beginning, this document was written by one man with a dream. This man believed, that with this dream, he could change the world we live in. In the end, this dream became a reality. Hence, we have both the Declaration and Jefferson standing before us. Thomas Jefferson created this document with the intention of making the world less self-absorbed and more equal. He wished to be the voice of the people, and change the way people view the government. He no longer wanted government to be associated with terms such as "tyranny" and "self-interest", but with "serving the people's rights as their sole purpose for existing. This later expanded into him and his piece becoming famous nation-wide and worldwide. This piece is the reason for the same problems being solved worldwide and more documents being written just like this one. If it was not significant long-term, it would not be mentioned as often as it is. Therefore, this document is both significant long term and very useful in addressing current.
