This same Tecumseh revolt seems to have been a confrontation between the U.S and the native American institution of slavery commanded under Shawnee chief Tecumseh throughout the Indians.
This conflict becomes consolidated reporting after the conflict around 1812, but also is perceived to be part of the greater or overall struggle.
