Having the Holy Land was some what of a pride thing since Islams, Muslims, and Christians all use it for their Holy Land.Pope Urban the II promised people salvation for fighting in the Crusades ans since most people didn´t have access to a Bible, nor could read or write they believed him. They also believed him since he was the ¨Mouth Piece of God.¨
