Teddy Roosevelt and William Howard Taft were both Progressives who did what they could in order to help American society.
For example Teddy Roosevelt, as part of his 3 C's policy, focused on conserving natural resources by protecting millions of acres in America. These protected areas would later become the national parks and forests system we know today.
Both men also worked towards stopping monopolies in American society. Teddy Roosevelt helped to pass the Sherman Anti-trust act. This law limited corporations who were trying to completely own one share of a market. Taft continued these types of policies, as he would promote 90 different lawsuits against big businesses who were trying to act like monopolies.
