A type of attack where an intruder is able to forge a biometric sample: Splicing Attack. It is performed when a portion of an image has been cut out and, after having been adapted, is inserted into another one to build a new “fake image” or the clipped image portion is pasted somewhere else within the same image. The splicing attack can also cause mismatches in the signature since the address details and timestamp are changed. Technically, it involves the attacker intercepting a bus request and returning a valid but non-requested block.
