Leonardo da Vinci was a leading artist and intellectual of the Italian renaissance. However, most of his time was instead dedicated to scientific studies. Leonardo da Vinci was the epitome of a “Renaissance man.” He studied the laws of science and nature, which greatly helped in his works as a painter, sculptor, architect, inventor, military engineer and draftsman.
