1. it's appealing to the eye. it is most likely to get people's attention and interest because of the pleasing visuals (colours, shapes etc)

Some of the reasons why people use art to bring awareness and/or recognition are:

Therefore, art is capable of portraying a people, instituting ideas and portraying important evolutionary movements in society.
