If 5x=20 then you would do the division property of equality first then it would be simplified x=4.

The Division property of equality is dividing both sides of an equation by the same non zero number does not change the equation. [tex]a\div c= b\div c[/tex], for [tex]c\neq 0[/tex].

First you divide by 5 from both sides.

[tex]\frac{5x}{5}=\frac{20}{5}=4[/tex]

Then, simplify.

[tex]\boxed{X=4}[/tex]

Hope this helps you!

Have a nice day! :)
